11 Things to Know About Cal Grants

9. Meeting Deadlines

If you are planning to attend college for the fall term, you will need to make sure your GPA verification form, SAT, ACT, or GED test scores are sent to the CSAC (California Student Aid Commission) at 1040 White Rock Rd Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 no later than September 2nd. It is recommended that you apply by March 2nd to ensure your application is received, and you can maximize your chances for selection. You must also file the Federal Aid Forms or California Dream Application by these dates also. Since the number of Grants awarded each year is limited by available funding, to sooner you apply, the better your chances of receiving money.
